It`s unforgettable image is defined by a crystal blue lake with an iconic church on an island in the middle and a dominant castle on a cliff overlooking the lake. In the direct vicinity of Bled there is a spectacular natural sight – Vintgar Gorge, which is bound to impress. Bled castle was first mentioned in 1011. It is considered as the oldest castle in Slovenia and its image simply invites for a visit. A sweet memory of Bled is guaranteed by the famous Bled cream cake. A special experience is also a traditional Pletna boat ride to the island or a carriage ride around the lake. The church on the island boast a rich history and legends. Have you rang it`s wishing bell already? On the way back is the charming old town of Radovljica with perfectly preserved architecture and a variety of cultural sights.

Vintgar Gorge (2h)
In the beginning of our tour we will visit the amazing Vintgar Gorge, which is deeply carved into the limestone and adorned by the river Radovna with its waterfalls, pools and rapids. There is a footpath across the gorge full of wooden bridges and galleries that ends with a view of mighty (13 meter tall) Šum waterfall. There are also two interesting man-made attractions at Vintgar: single-arched stone bridge of Bohinj railroad, built in 1906, which crosses the gorge and a dam with a nearby small hydroelectric power plant, called Vintgar under Šum.


Bled castle (1.30h)
The most beautiful view of Bled island, town of Bled and surrounding Gorenjska region is from the castle. We will take a look at the picturesque architecture of the castle and the museum collection that shows the history of Bled, its inhabitants and culture. We will get to know the traditional printing methods in the printshop, visit the wine cellar and the smithy. In the summer months the ambient of the castle is made even more interesting by the visit of the lord of the castle and an archery tournament.


Lake Bled (2h)
After the tour ob Bled castle we will have time for sightseeing and relaxation by the lake. Bled island with the church of Mary`s assumption is a pearl that is one of the most recognisable images of Slovenia. Church with a golden main altar and threee side altars, made from black marble, has undergone several alterations. It`s special feature is the Bell Tower. There are 99 stone stairs leading to the plateau with the Church and the Bell Tower. A special reason for visiting the church on the island is the Wishing Bell, where visitors bestow Mary their wishes and they are supposed to come true. There are several legends about the island; one of them was even used by our famous poet France Prešeren. The only way to the island, where once stood the temple of Slavic goddess of love, is by traditional Pletna boat, rowing boat or a tourist boat. A visitor doesn`t truly experience Bled until he tastes it`s culinary symbol – Bled cream cake.


Radovljica (1h)
The last stop in our exploration of beautiful Gorenjska will be the town of Radovljica. We will visit Linhart Square – the heart and soul of Radovljica. The quaint old town impresses with it`s authentic architecture, museums, galleries and other attractions. Radovljica’s medieval Old Town is one of best preserved medieval town structures in Slovenia. We will visit the best-preserved example of sixteenth century Slovenian urban architecture - the Šivec House, with its front façade dominated by a fresco portraying a Good Samaritan. On the ground floor is the largest hall which is vaulted with crested arches and is used for exhibitions of known Slovenian artists On the first floor, three dwelling rooms are preserved: a representative living room, a kitchen and a larder. The interior boasts outstanding architectural elements.
